Sometimes we forget that we are part of nature. That the environments we live in are our life support systems providing the food, water and clean air we can’t live without. Our lives depend on biodiversity. And our actions can protect or destroy it.

Living in an environmentally responsible way can help reduce pressure on ecosystems and species – even those as far away as the Arctic. And simple changes can have a huge impact if enough people make an effort.

Here are a few ideas of how you can make a positive change to protect the biodiversity where you live:
